Join fellow CXers on the 1st Tuesday every-other month for a conversation with a woman leader in the community\, so you can grow in knowledge\, learn from others\, and identify ways to stretch yourself.\n\n\n\nEach session our Lessons in Leadership facilitator\, Julie Klima\, Managing Director at Midwest Center for Nonprofit Leadership at UMKC\, will interview a guest woman in leadership who will share their experience and philosophies. June's special guest is Roxane Harris\, Vice President U.S. Franchise Operations at H&R Block.\n\n\n\nWhether you are a manager or project leader\, new entrant to the workforce with company leadership on the horizon\, an entrepreneur leading in a variety of ways\, or an executive\, you are welcome to join Lessons in Leadership. Real discussion leads to evolving mindsets and behaviors\, and CX's environment is comfortable for open discussion and sharing.\n\n \n\n\n\n\n\n Roxane Harris\, Vice President Block Advisors and H & R Block Franchise Operations loves supporting Franchisees and field leaders who operate over 2\,600 retail offices that focus on exceeding client expectations as they deliver tax\, bookkeeping\, and payroll services in the US and select international locations. \n\n\n\nThroughout her 30 plus career journey she has worked for three amazing companies in corporate America including Hallmark Cards and Sogeti LLC and operated a small business and has direct sales experience. \n\n\n\nAlong the way\, she obtained a master's degree in technology and an undergrad degree in Communications. She also has experience in merchandising\, operations\, local marketing\, and financial services. In life and in work she has had setbacks\, but she utilizes these as learning moments. Her favorite quote is "the difference between the possible and the impossible lies in determination" by Tommy Lasorda. For enjoyment\, she spends time traveling\, reading and helping her kids play soccer\, volleyball and track. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nJulie Klima is the Managing Director at the Midwest Center for Nonprofit Leadership at UMKC\, which is dedicated to enhancing performance and effectiveness in the nonprofit community through education\, research and service. Julie is a passionate advocate for a thriving nonprofit sector and has more than two decades of cross-sector experience leading teams through growth and change.
