WHAT ARE LEAN IN CIRCLES?
Leaning in is not a solo sport. In a world where women still face bias and other barriers at work, Lean In Circles are a safe space to share your struggles, give and get advice, and celebrate each other’s wins. Whether you need help navigating your new normal at work or are looking for support from women who understand what you’re going through, your Lean In Circle will give you the boost we all need.
Central Exchange is committed to offering women the ongoing inspiration and support to help them achieve their goals, and we are very excited to partner with the Lean In Network | Kansas City to offer Lean In Circles to our members and non-members throughout the KC metropolitan area.
Based on Sheryl Sandberg’s book, Lean In, these small cohorts focus on encouraging women to pursue their ambitions and change the conversation from what we can’t do to what we can do.
Each Lean In Circle provides you an opportunity to connect with other women and share experiences that allow you to know each other by tapping into one another ideas and giving support. The group dynamics will grow and change throughout each session based on the participation of the cohort’s attendees.
Register today to join all 6 sessions of the MANGO Lean In Circle meeting the 3RD TUESDAY of the month at 7 PM, from March through August!
MEET YOUR LEAN IN CIRCLE LEADER, ROMA VALENTINE!
Roma has built her professional career in healthcare over the last 2 decades from starting as a Medical Assistant and coder culminating in the realm of Medicare Risk Adjustment Provider Education and training. For 16 years she has studied a variety of alternative and integrative therapies such as holistic nutrition, Yoga, Tai-Chi, Qi Gong and Transcendental Meditation. Roma strives to make meaningful connections in efforts to build bridges to access these services and cultivate spaces where this valuable knowledge can be shared. Her lifelong goal is to help to blend the worlds of Western and Eastern medicine philosophies in a way that gives everyone the power to make truly informed decisions about all of their healthcare treatment options.
Even in the corporate world of health insurance her individual passions for holistic health and Ayurveda were allowed to flourish and be put to good use. Through live virtual presentations, informational emails, and podcasting she brings Wellness education to the workplace.
Roma presents as a Woman, uses She/Her Pronouns, and self-identifies as half hippie, half corporate. She wears many different hats in life and believes in authentically embracing all dimensions of her personality and will encourage you to do so as well.

7:00 PM - 8:00 PM CDT
The MANGO Lean In Circle meets the 3RD TUESDAY of the month from 7-8 PM, March thru August.
Due to the personal and confidential nature of these conversations, each Lean In cohort is limited to 11 women plus the circle leader, and we will not be recording the sessions. If you think you will not be able to make at least 4 of the 6 sessions, we ask that you do not register today so another woman can join this cohort.
If you have already registered for the February session and now need to cancel, please email hello@centralexchange.org as soon as possible so another woman can take your place. Thanks!
Virtual via Zoom - access this program remotely from your computer, tablet, or smartphone + dial-in available.
All Lean In Circles are FREE to attend and open to the public.
You do not need to be a CX Member to attend.
