WHAT ARE LEAN IN CIRCLES?
Leaning in is not a solo sport. In a world where women still face bias and other barriers at work, Lean In Circles are a safe space to share your struggles, give and get advice, and celebrate each other’s wins. Whether you need help navigating your new normal at work or are looking for support from women who understand what you’re going through, your Lean In Circle will give you the boost we all need.
Central Exchange is committed to offering women the ongoing inspiration and support to help them achieve their goals, and we are very excited to partner with the Lean In Network | Kansas City to offer Lean In Circles to our members and non-members throughout the KC metropolitan area.
Based on Sheryl Sandberg’s book, Lean In, these small cohorts focus on encouraging women to pursue their ambitions and change the conversation from what we can’t do to what we can do.
Each Lean In Circle provides you an opportunity to connect with other women and share experiences that allow you to know each other by tapping into one another ideas and giving support. The group dynamics will grow and change throughout each session based on the participation of the cohort’s attendees.
Join the Waitlist for the ORANGE Lean In Circle meeting the 4TH FRIDAY of the month at 8 AM, from Feburary through July! We will let you know if a space comes available. Or, join any other Lean In Circles, which can be found on the CX Calendar beginning in February and March.
MEET YOUR LEAN IN CIRCLE LEADER, MICHELLE POSTON!
Michelle Poston has been in the financial industry since 2005 and with Infinitas since 2009. She works with her clients to create an awareness of what is financially possible. Through the planning process she works alongside her clients to identify and prioritize their personal goals and desires so they can build wealth with purpose. As a trusted resource and confidant, she walks side by side her clients through life’s transitions to help relieve financial stress and build confidence. Ultimately, she wants her clients to feel confident in the financial decisions they are making today, enjoy their success, and live the life they envision.
Being an avid saver, frugal spender, and financially minded individual she was able to pay cash for her first car purchase (she loved that little maroon Honda Civic) and purchased her own home at age 20. She worked full time while attending college and graduated from UMKC Bloch with a bachelors in Finance and a minor in Economics. Shortly after that she received FINRA
In November 2016, she passed the CFP® board exam to become one of the only 23% women in CFP® professionals. Although many professionals may call themselves “financial planners,” CFP® professionals have completed extensive training and experience requirements and are held to rigorous ethical standards. They understand the complexities of the changing financial climate and know how to make recommendations in your best interest. Michelle completed the training and studying for the board exam over 2 years while continuing to work full time and focus on her family.
After graduating Michelle married her boyfriend of 7 years and enjoyed a honeymoon at Niagara Falls then went right back to work. Had her first beautiful baby boy, Aiden, in 2008, was blessed with her second boy, Mason, in 2011, and in 2017 she had her third sweet baby boy, Sylas. Like most parents in the thick of it she spends her evenings and weekends helping her older boys with homework, taking them to football, basketball, track, karate, theater activities, or coaching her youngest in soccer. Family is of the utmost importance to Michelle as she makes it a point to see extended family members regularly. As a teenager she enjoyed photography and is trying to find time to take on that hobby again. They have two adopted dogs, 140-pound Turner (aka the horse) and 80-pound Hooch. Her husband insisted on the names. She exercises regularly for health and to keep up with her 3 boys. As a busy mom focused on a fulfilling life, she enjoys being able to positively impact the lives of her clients, family, and friends.

If you have already registered for the February session and now need to cancel, please email hello@centralexchange.org as soon as possible so another woman can take your place. Thanks!
