Speaker Bio:
Joan Smith, APRN, FNP-C, is a Board-certified family nurse practitioner who provides primary care at AdventHealth Medical Group?s Internal Medicine & Pediatrics office in South Overland Park. Joan provides primary care for patients of all ages, with a particular focus on wellness and preventive care.She earned her FNP certificate from Fort Hays State University, her masters of science in nursing from the University of Oklahoma and her bachelors of science in nursing from the University of Missouri. She has worked as a nurse practitioner, a registered nurse, a nurse educator and nursing faculty, with focus areas ranging from primary care and medical-surgical to ICU and cardiovascular.
